The platform, which is a one-stop-shop for addressing billing, metering, transformers, connection and disconnection, had in attendance consumers and stakeholders in the electricity sector.

Irukera, represented by the Executive Commissioner, Operations at the commission, Adamu Ahmed Abdullahi, said FCCPC has been working with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and other relevant agencies on policy regulations to resolve challenges faced by consumers.

He said: “One of such measures is the capping of estimated bills and we have directed that the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company ensures that they comply with the regulatory framework.

“This programme provides an opportunity for consumers and AEDC to resolve outstanding and emerging complaints and we advise that all complaints brought here are fully resolved.”

Also speaking, the Chief Marketing Officer of AEDC, Donald Etim, pledged the commitment of the AEDC to resolving complaints of customers.

He added that AEDC has over the years engaged in town hall meetings with consumers across their franchise states to identify challenges with a view to solving them.
