A caterer, Mrs. Ayandibu Remi, and three others were seriously injured after their vehicle rammed into a moving truck on Saturday evening at Awawa village, on Abuja-Lokoja road.
Our reporter learnt that Mrs Remi was a caterer with the Redeemers Secondary School, opposite CBN quarters, Lugbe, Abuja.
She was injured along with three others after their BMW SUV with registration number BWR 282 RK, rammed into a moving truck.
A witness said the vehicle which was speeding was heading to Abuja from Lokoja axis.
He said the unmarked truck driver drove off when the incident happened.
He said the four injured victims were rescued by men of the Abaji unit command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and taken to hospital.
When contacted, the unit commander of the FRSC, Assistant Corps Commander, Olasupo Esuruoso, confirmed the incident, saying the four injured passengers, were taken to Abaji General Hospital.
He attributed the accident to over speeding by the SUV driver, even as he said the truck driver zoomed off immediately after the incident.
