The Chairman of Ungogo LGA of Kano State, Abdullahi Garba Ramat, has offered scholarship to 1,500 students.
The empowerment also saw the distribution of N10,000 to 500 youths who are mostly hunters, 27 new cars, 100 motorcycles and 50 sewing machines.

Speaking at the LGA’s secretariat, the chairman said the activity was part of his government’s effort to bring his constituents closer into active participation in the affairs of the council so that they could reap the dividends of democracy.
On his part, Kano State Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, commended the chairman for the “extraordinary gesture”.
