At least six persons have lost their lives, while three others sustained varying degrees of injury in a road crash in Jigawa State.
It was learnt that the incident happened on Monday, around 11:30am along Hadejia-Kano road in Hadejia Local Government Area of Jigawa State, involving a bridal escort train.

Daily Trust gathered that the accident involved a black Lexus with the number plate, AAA 153 EA, driven by one Habib Habib, 30 of Yalleman Quarters Kaugama LGA.
He was reportedly carrying eight passengers, including a bride from Hadejia to Yalleman.
The spokesman for the Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the incident in a statement in Dutse on Tuesday.
He said, “On reaching Gidan Sugar, on their way back to Hadejia, both the rear and front tyres pulled out and the driver lost control. The vehicle somersaulted.
“Following the receipt of the dastardly report, a team of policemen swung into action and visited the scene. Vctims were evacuated and rushed to the General Hospital, Hadejia for treatment. The corpses (of those who died) were released to relatives for burial.”
He quoted the state Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Sale Tafida, as condoling the family of the deceased.
Adamu warned drivers in the state to avoid overloading, over speeding, taking hard drugs and alcohol before driving and night journey.
He further advised motorists to be checking their vehicle’s tyres, brakes and other essential parts before embarking on any journey.
