The Foundation for Rural Proletariat and Community Advancement (RuralPro) has urged Nigerian youths to learn from the experiences of youths in advanced countries to better their skill in civic engagements for societal and national development.
The founder of RuralPro, Mr Ojooluwa Ibiloye, made the call Wednesday in Abuja at the youth civic activism in Nigeria workshop organised by the foundation and the Center for the Future of Arizona.

It was organised in partnership with the Reciprocal Exchange component of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders and the U.S Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
He said 50 participants, aged 25 to 35, were selected after rigorous exercise on their interest and competency for them to be equipped young people to engage with the policy-making processes.
He explained that the Reciprocal Exchange component of the Mandela fellowship provided opportunities for US professionals to collaborate with young Africans to implement projects like YouthCAN.
Kristi Tate and Madison Rock, who spoke virtually from the United States, listed the strategies they employed with others to bring about progress and well-being of the people in the state of Arizona.
