“Everyone is aware of the current insecurity facing the country and the 2023 general elections are approaching so we need to conduct a special prayer for peaceful coexistence in the country,” he said.

“As Muslims, we believe that there is nothing the Almighty cannot solve. So what we have done is to call Muslims to come and submit it to God to choose the right leader for us who will take the responsibility of governing our country.

“God knows our situation, we submit to Him to choose who can lead us right and take the nation to greater heights irrespective of where he comes from. And we pray this coming election to be peaceful and successful.”

In her remarks, the chairperson of YOWPA, Hajiya Asmau Sarki Mukhtar, said they collaborated with other organisations to sensitise the teeming youths and women in the state on participation in politics.

“We created awareness for the youths not to allow themselves to be used to perpetrate violence and disrupt the elections,” she said.
