Five minutes later, the role was reversed when Dakkada’s Emmanuel Ogbuagu fouled Godwin Obaje inside the box. The former Wikki Tourists and FC IfeanyiUbah man stood up, dusted himself and got the better of GK Loveday Anuugbuo to level the score.

The home team pushed forward and made several attempts to take the lead again but were denied by the woodwork as the first half ended 1-1.

On resumption, Dakkada continued to push but several chances that came their way were spurned away.

They, however, got a lifeline when the visitors were reduced to 10-men after Umeh Chigozie was sent off following a reckless challenge on Adewale Lasisi.

With the game looking to end 1-1, Edidiong Ezekiel gave Dakkada a big boost in their race for survival as he guided home Adewale Lasisi’s low cross in the 89th minute as the game ended 2-1.

Despite the victory, Dakkada are still 19th with 36 points while Abia Warriors remain 12th with 39 points.
