The Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone A, of the Nigeria Custom Service, on Thursday, said it arrested 14 smugglers in the South West states in the month of May while they were attempting to bring contraband items into the country.

The acting Controller of FOU Zone A, Ikeja, Kehinde Ejibunu, while addressing Journalists yesterday in Lagos, said, “14 suspects were arrested in connection with the crimes. Prominent among the goods seized within the month under review are bags of rice and second hand clothes.
