Shehu said the command was investigating a case of culpable homicide and of being in possession of a human part against Ibrahim, a member of the Yan Sakai from Dauran District in Zurmi LGA.
He said, “The suspect was arrested by a joint police and military anti-banditry operation along Dauran/ Zurmi axis and brought to the police command headquarters in Gusau.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect was among the members of the outlawed group, Yan Sakai, who have been terrorising members of Dauran community through extra judicial killings, leading to reprisal attacks by bandits on innocent members of the public.
“In the course of interrogation, the suspect has confessed that himself and three other members of his gang now at large carried out the gruesome killing of one Abdullahi and cut off his right hand.
“Investigation is in progress with a view to arresting his partners in crime and to unravel the circumstances of their action before being charged.”
