The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Monday met with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja.
Atiku defeated Wike and other presidential aspirants to pick the party’s presidential ticket on Saturday.

Atiku polled 371 votes to defeat Wike, who got 237 votes at the presidential primary held at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, on Saturday.
Former Senate President Bukola Saraki polled 70 votes; Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State, 38 votes; Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, 20 votes; a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim, 14 votes and an ex-President of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria, Sam Ohuabunwa, one vote.

The meeting Atiku’s spokesman, Mr. Paul Ibe, said was part of the promise to reach out to all the party stakeholders after the election.
Ibe told Daily Trust that the visit shows, “The PDP flagbearer is already working his talk”.
It was attended by many party chieftains including a former Ekiti State Governor and presidential aspirant, Ayodele Fayose.
