Kano State House of member representing Dawakin Kudu Constituency, Mu’azzam El-Yakuba, has dumped the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Earlier this month, the lawmaker alongside nine other members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) decamped to the NNPP.
However, on Friday, the lawmaker tendered his defection letter to the State House of Assembly.
Director, Press and Public Affairs of the House, Uba Abdullahi said “the lawmaker stated that he along side other supporters, defected to the APC and hope the House would take note of the development.
“He also pledge to work together with all party members for the success of the party.”
Abdullahi added that the House officially received the letter and wished the member best in his future political endeavors.
Daily Trust report that, earlier in the week, Kano State House of Assembly member representing Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s constituency, alongside three others also decamped from the NNPP to the APC.
