Senator Shehu Sani, a gubernatorial aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), secured just two votes in the primary election.
Delegates have been smiling to the banks since the primaries for the 2023 elections kicked off a few days back.

Daily Trust had reported how some of the aspirants who lost the legislative primary in Kaduna demanded a refund of the millions they gave to delegates.
Apparently taunting them after their loss, Sani had said they used hunters and vigilantes to recover over N100 million.
But before the governorship primary, Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial district from 2015 to 2019, had vowed not to pay delegates for their votes.
In a social media post, he said, “The Kaduna PDP Governorship primaries has been concluded. I lost and Honourable Isah Ashiru won. I wish to congratulate him.
“Two Delegates voted for me without giving them a dime. Unfortunately, I don’t know who they are, so I can appreciate these clean votes. We look forward.”
