The Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Strike Force, Team B, Kaduna, has intercepted goods worth duty paid value of N148.5 million across North West and North Eastern states within a month.
The Coordinator of Team B, Deputy Controller Faith Ojeifo, said the team seized 2.090 bags of fertilisers worth N31,563,000.

He explained that the unit also seized of 643 bags of foreign rice worth N16,718,000 and 211 bales of used clothing worth N37,024,000.
Other items seized are 428 cartons of spaghetti, 2,000 litters of Premium Motor Sprit (PMS) and one used vehicle; all worth N3,911,400.00.
Furthermore, the unit has impounded seven vehicles worth N57,960,000 on suspicion of import irregularities.
He said, “These items are still under investigation to unearth the facts around their importation.”
The coordinator added that within the period under review, the unit recovered duties amounting to N32,338,051 from demand notice issued to defaulting importers.
