The National Population Commission (NPC) says it has demarcated houses in 772 LGAs in all the states of the federation and the FCT.
Chairman, NPC, Nasir Isa Kwarra, during a capacity building workshop for population correspondents held yesterday in Nasarawa State, said Abadam LGA (Borno State) and Birnin Gwari (Kaduna State) had not been demarcated because of security challenges.

“Over the years, the commission has invested considerable time and resources planning for the census by drawing from its rich institutional experience spanning two censuses and a pool of tested professionals to give the nation a truly digital and scientific census that will generate data for national planning within the context of our present realities,” Kwarra said.
While reiterating that the trial census would be conducted in June, he said the commission was on course in its mission of delivering an accurate census to Nigerians.
He stressed the need for a strategic partnership with the media to form the tripod upon which the census architecture would stand to reach out to Nigerians.
Chairman, Public Affairs Committee for the 2023 Census, Eyitayo Oyetunji, said: “The conduct of the workshop marks another milestone in the determination of the commission to conduct a credible, reliable and acceptable census.”
