Police arrest robbers, recover batteries in Ogun

The police in Ogun State have arrested three members of a robbery syndicate after they robbed a company in Ogijo area of the state.

The suspects, Shadrach Blessing (25), Edibo Peter (25) and Osuwgu Oyebuchi (27), were arrested following a distress call received by policemen at the Ogijo Division that armed robbers had invaded Ruthfort Service Limited on Ikorodu-Sagamu Road, Ogijo.

The robbers were said to have ordered the security guards to lie face down while they removed four industrial batteries from the company.

The police spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspects had already escaped but that they were chased and apprehended and the four industrial batteries recovered from them.
