The Minister of State for Works and Housing, Alhaji Muazu Sambo Jaji, has said that the federal government has approved N3billion from Sukuk bond to fund the Numan-Jalingo road project in Taraba and Adamawa states.
Sambo said this during an inspection of federal roads under construction within Taraba and Adamawa states.

He said the fund would be released to the contractor handling the job in July this year.
The minister further said the funds would go a long way in executing the project.
He, however, warned the contractor handling the work to live up to expectation or get sacked.
The minister also visited the site of the construction company, DEUX Construction Nigeria Limited, located at Numan town in Adamawa to ascertain the capability of the company to deliver the contract.
Daily Trust on Sunday reports that the Jalingo-Numan road was awarded in March 2017 and was to be completed in July 2019. However, only seven kilometers out of 103.5 from Numan to Jalingo was constructed since the contract was awarded.
