APGA commiserates with Soludo on loss of aide

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has commiserated with Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, on the demise of his media aide, Joe Anatune.

Anatune reportedly died on Saturday, a few days after his 62nd birthday, and some days after he was appointed by Governor Soludo as head of the government agencies.

He was among those that worked tirelessly for Soludo’s victory in 2021 election in the state.

The APGA National Chairman, Dr. Victor Ike Oye, said, “I write on behalf of the National Executive Committee of our great party, APGA, to commiserate with you on the sudden demise of your aide, Joe Anatune, which sad event occurred on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

“That he died less than two weeks after his elevation to the position of the Managing Director, Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency (ANSAA) makes his exit more painful and mysterious.

“But what could we have done in circumstances like this when no human effort would have reversed the incident? All we should do at this time is to place our hope and trust in God -the Author and Finisher of our faith.

“We pray to Him to grant Joe’s soul eternal repose in heaven, considering that he died within the Easter Period when Christ offered his life as an oblation for the salvation and sanctification of mankind.”

He also urged the governor and members of his government to take heart and bear the tragic incident with fortitude, while hoping that the late Anatune would rise up with Christ in the morning of the resurrection.
