The police in Ekiti State have arrested two cattle rustlers, Mohammed Mohammed (22) and Yahu Bello (42), at the scene of the crime.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP, Sunday Abutu, said, “On April 30, at 1430 hours, the command received a distress call that a group of rustlers came to Ikole-Ekiti forest, attacked herdsmen with weapons and went away with a cow valued at N500,000.

He said the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) move to the scene immediately where the two suspects were arrested, and that during interrogation the suspects confessed to the crime and led operatives to the house of the receiver of the rustled cow, who on sighting the police escaped, but that a manhunt for him had been launched.
