Meanwhile, the ruling party has recorded an increase of aspirants in the 2023 race, especially for the office of the President.
On Wednesday alone, three chieftains of the party joined the Aso Rock race.
They are Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State; Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta; and Adams Oshiomhole, former National Chairman of the party.
Commenting on this, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the APC, said it is good for democracy.
“The more the merrier. The more they come, the more challenging it becomes for you to think deeply, focus on issues and be ready to serve and Nigeria. It’s all about service, it’s nothing else. Think wisely, get committed to your thinking to serve the nation and bring progress and prosperity to the lives of Nigerians,” Tinubu, an APC Presidential aspirant, had told reporters.
