2 arrested over defilement of minor in Edo

The police in Edo State have arrested one Collins Odaro Otabor (30) and one Junior Ozoba (30) for defiling a 13-year-old minor.

The suspects were said to have lured the victim to their room on April 28, at Ekehuan in Egor LGA and had canal knowledge of her.

The state’s police spokesperson, Bello Kotongs, said the suspects were arrested on April 29, as part of a renewed effort by the command to stem the increasing sexual violence against women and children.

He said one of the suspects, Collins, confessed to have lured the victim into his friend’s room, Ozoba, and forcibly had carnal knowledge of her.
