The Emefiele Mobilization Team (EMT) has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele to formally declare for 2023 Presidency.

Spokesman of the EMT, Mr Bashir Mohammed, on Sunday in Abuja, said that Emefiele should declare for 2023 presidency in the interest of national development.

Mohammed said “This does not come as a surprise that since assuming office, Godwin Emefiele has become a symbol of national hope and prosperity across all six geopolitical zones of the country. Through smart, unbiased, people-focused interventions and policies, he has lifted millions of Nigerians out of poverty.

“It is based on these stellar accomplishments and leadership qualities that groups such as the Emefiele Mobilization Team and indeed Nigerians across the length and breadth of the country are increasingly putting forward their case for a higher assignment for Emefiele through which he can replicate his great works on a broader, national scale,” Mohammed said.

He recalled that under Emefiele’s leadership at Zenith Bank, the bank strengthened its position as a leading financial institution in Africa, winning recognition and endorsement at home and abroad for giant strides in key performance areas like corporate governance, service delivery and deployment of cutting-edge ICT.

He said, “During his tenure as CBN Governor, Emefiele has overseen effective monetary and fiscal policy coordination and the establishment of various initiatives that are ensuring financial inclusion, promoting economic diversification, generating wealth and creating jobs.”

He also said that Mr. Godwin Emefiele has become a symbol of national hope and prosperity across all six geopolitical zones of the country and has lifted millions of Nigerians out of poverty through unbiased, people-focused policies and interventions.

He therefore, urged Nigerians to support Emefiele to emerge the nation’s president in 2023.
