Abductors of Abuja chief give family 24 hours to pay N6m

The family of the abducted traditional ruler of Bukpe community in Kwali Area Council of the FCT, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Hassan Shamidozhi, has been given 24 hours to raise N6 million or risk being killed.

City & Crime reports that the chief was abducted two weeks ago and a N20m ransom was placed on his head, which was later slashed to N6m.

A member of the chief’s family, who preferred anonymity, told our reporter on Wednesday that the abductors called through phone and threatened to kill the chief if the family failed to raise the N6m in the next 24 hours.

He said, “It was just today around 10am that they called and threatened to kill the chief if the family fails to bring N6m after 24 hours. The threat has thrown the entire family into confusion as we don’t know how to raise the N6m.”

He, therefore, appealed to the security agents to come to the aid of the family and rescue the chief.

The spokesperson of the FCT police command, DSP Adeh Josephine, was yet to reply an SMS on the development.
