FOSLA boys sink Flight FC 1-0, present NUGA medals to Lulu

FOSLA FC players who are part of the Nasarawa State University Keffi team that won bronze in the football event at the just concluded Nigeria University Games in Lagos have presented their medals to the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi.

The presentation was done on Wednesday shortly before FOSLA FC played host to Flight FC of Gboko in their NLO MatchDay 3 in Karshi-Abuja.

The seven FOSLA FC players in the bronze medal winning team of NSUK are among the over 40 students from the FOSLA Academy that are running various academic programs at the state university under the full scholarship of Lulu Abdullahi.

The medalists who were led by FOSLA Football Club captain, Abdulganiu Abdulazeez, who incidentally is the university’s students’ Director of Sports, expressed appreciation to Lulu for the financial and fatherly support to them right from their Junior Secondary School levels.

He also promised that they will remain worthy ambassadors of the Academy anywhere they find themselves.

Responding, Lulu urged the players to continue to work hard to win more laurels for NSUK while upholding the good virtues that were inculcated in them while at FOSLA Academy.

He also congratulated the boys for honouring him and the school just as he promised to continue to render selfless services to indigent students who are naturally endowed in the sports.

The boys later teamed up with their team mates to defeat Flight FC 2-0 with Allayi Haruna and Solomon Abraham scoring a goal each in the second half of the match.

FOSLA who are now on top of Group 1 will play their next match against Police FC also of Abuja.
