Ahead of today’s make-or-mar 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff final battle between Nigeria and Ghana, the chairman of the FCT Football Association, Adam Mouktar Mohammed, has charged the Super Eagles to beat their opponents and qualify for the mundial in Qatar.
The FA boss who expressed happiness over the return of the senior national team to Abuja after 10 years absence commended the Super Eagles for putting up a good fight which earned them a well deserved draw in Kumasi last Friday.

He said “I must commend the players for their dogged display in Kumasi. Playing against one of our arch-rivals with their vociferous and hostile supporters was not a mean task.
“I have no doubt that the Super Eagles will complete the job in Abuja because the city and its people are ready to welcome them back after 10 years.”
Mohammed also commended the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello and the minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, for ensuring that the national team does not lack support in Abuja.
“The minister of sports deserves special commendation for ensuring that the main bowl of the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja is rehabilitated and is being used for international matches again,” he said.
The football administrator, therefore, called on football fans to take advantage of the free buses provided by the FCT administration to fill up the stadium and cheer the Super Eagles to victory over the Black Stars.
