A police inspector, Dele Reuben, has been arrested for allegedly harassing a motorist in Lagos over a vehicle tinted permit.
His arrest is a sequel to a viral video of the policeman demanding financial gratification from a motorist for not having a tinted permit for his vehicle.

Recall that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Alkali Baba, had warned policemen to desist from demanding tinted permits from drivers.
Inspector Reuben is currently being tried at the provost unit of the command headquarters, Ikeja.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said his arrest was directed by the state commissioner of police, Abiodun Alabi.
Hundeyin said Inspector Dele Reuben was captured on video harassing a motorist for the now-suspended tinted glasses permit.
He further said the state’s police boss has reiterated to his officers and men his zero tolerance for harassment, extortion and abuse of rights of citizens.
