Fling it away quickly!

I wish to react to President Buhari’s order while commissioning the new Lagos airport terminal, that the Minister of Aviation should speed up the concession of our airports.

It seems to me the president sees all national assets as liabilities, even freshly minted ones.

For a long time, the federal government has been hijacked by foreign powers, such that all its policies are dictated from abroad with the undeclared goal that Nigeria’s assets should serve them, not Nigerians.

SPONSOR AD

Even where Nigerians pay for services, those to whom the assets are concessioned or sold would waste no time repatriating their profits even through the back door.

As a much-touted patriot, it was the hope of millions that President Buhari would invest in Nigerians and give them the opportunity to manage their country.

The function of Nigeria’s president is now clearly stated: auction Nigeria piecemeal to foreigners.

There was a time when General Buhari used to boycott National Council of State meetings. Why? He was ‘cleaner’ than the pack. …

What a tragic end!
