A magistrates’ court in Ota, Ogun State, on Wednesday, ordered a 40-year-old housewife, Biola Joshua, to sweep the premises of Iju-Ebiye High School for six months for invading the school where her son was a pupil with thugs.

The prosecutor, Insp Cynthia Ejezie, told the court that the convict, her son and others at large committed the offence on March 11, 2021, at about 2pm at the Iju-Ebiye High School.
Insp Ejezie said the suspect and her accomplices assaulted the school’s principal and health master of the school, causing them bodily injuries.
She added that they also conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause breach of peace by invading and disrupting academic activities of the school with thugs.
Magistrate Shotunde Shotayo ordered the convict to sweep the school from 8am to 11am daily for six months, but gave her an option of a fine of N30,000 to be given to the principal and the health master.
