Three herders identified as Jamilu, Audu and Zainab have been abducted after gunmen raided their settlement at Achido community in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.
A resident of Achido simply identified as Joshua, said the incident happened around 12am on Tuesday when the gunmen in their large numbers attacked the settlement located a few meters from the community.

A member of the vigilante group in the area, who preferred anonymity, confirmed the incident, saying before the vigilantes arrived at the scene, the gunmen had escaped with the victims into the forest.
He further said, “We mobilised more vigilantes to comb the forest down to neighbouring Toto village in Nasarawa State in search of the victims.”
When contacted, the spokesperson of the FCT police command, DSP Adeh Josephine, said the command was not aware of the incident.
