The police in Oyo State have arrested two members of a kidnapping syndicate, Kabiru Salam and Lukman Adisa.
The suspects were arrested on Sunday while trying to abduct a nine-year-old girl on her way to church in Alakia area of Ibadan.
Confirming the development to newsmen, the police spokesperson in the state, Adewale Osifeso, said the suspects who were nearly burnt alive were in police custody.
