At the event, the Enugu State Coordinator, Chief Donatus Azuibuike said: “If we train you without empowering you, you will go back to what you were, but it is good that we are settling those that have undergone
the training.
“I charge you to make good use of the equipment you were given to start making money with it,” said Azubuike.
The Director, SPW Abuja, Mrs Roseline Olawole, told the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the cash and the equipment because they would be repaid.
Meanwhile at the flag off of the training for youths in Jos, Plateau State, NDE’s State Coordinator, Mallam Ibrahim Abdulazeez, said the unemployed graduates would have requisite business skills to become self-reliant.
“We believe that this is one way to help the teaming graduates who are still in the labour market get something doing,” said Abdulazeez.
Representative of the Director of Small-scale Enterprises Department Abuja, Mrs Maureen Obianju, encouraged the participants to take the training seriously as this may be the only opportunity they might have to participate in such training.
Sunday Rogo, a participant said the programme would go a long way in building their skills and preparing them ahead of future challenges.
