Fresh from the engrossing Lagos International Polo Tournament and Port Harcourt Golden Jubilee celebration, polo clubs across the country are buzzing with activities as participating teams’ perfect strategies ahead of the 2022 Rubicon Polo& Turf tournament.
Polo Royals exclusively gathered that preparations are at feverish heights for the second polo tournament to be hosted by the swanky polo arena that was inaugurated last year with pomp. Tournament Manager, Bashir Dantata who confirmed this in a chat in Lagos, said the fiesta is billed for March or early April, 2022.
“We are working toward it. What remains is to finalize the tournament date and send out invitations to participating patrons and teams,” Bashir opened up, adding that unlike the inaugural edition, this second edition will be exclusive to Nigerian players only.
“We are pushing to increase spectator turnout this year, while creating more opportunities for home based players. The level of team interest is inspiring and we look forward to watching the competition unfold in what promises to be the most exciting high-goal season ever,” he told Polo Royals.
