January allocation: FCT area councils, stakeholders share N3.5bn

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has disbursed N3,562,934,772.37 billion to the six area councils and other stakeholders as their share of statutory allocation for January. 

The figure indicated a 2.88 per cent decline in revenue compared with N3,668,506,659.36bn disbursed in December.

The FCT Minister of State, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, who presided over the 162nd Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC), assured all stakeholders that despite challenges, the FCTA would scale up the allocation.

For area councils, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) received N265,079,717.69m, Gwagwalada – N273,242,976.79m, Kuje ­ N250,855,189.66m, Bwari – N233,137,360.59m, Abaji  – N247, 084, 467.51m and Kwali – N232, 342, 170.29m.

For stakeholders, N1.6bn was earmarked for primary school teachers, pension funds – N226,478,989.57m, training fund – N35,629,347.75m and employer pension contribution – N107,849,405.63m.
