The don said the time had come for those who have the technical know how to be given the chance to run the country.

“Nigeria is not for sale; what we want is not the people that have money but people that have the intellect, brain and the love for the country. When you say you are looking for the person that has money, he will want to get his money back. We are not selling Nigeria,” he said.

He said the country is where it is because we have been chosen leaders based on those that have money instead of knowledge.

Ekuobase said the nation has failed to measure up with other countries of the world based on poor successive leaderships.

“I want to contest for presidency because I have the strength, age and the support of the elderly and the young ones.”

“That is why I am going to ensure that Nigeria reckon with the league of nations. We are too backward, and we need to step up our game, knowledge must come in. We need people that can think” he said.

He said if elected he would focus on agriculture, security, job creation, education, health, technology among others to make Nigeria a producing nation and not import dependent.
