2 farmers killed, 4 others kidnapped in Sokoto

Two people were reportedly killed by bandits while working on their farmland at the Sardauna community in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
It was gathered that the farmers were killed on Sunday around 3:30pm.
The leader of the vigilante group in Sabon Birni, Musa Muhammad (aka Blacky), identified the deceased as Hamza Na’allah and Zubairu Haruna of Sardauna district of Sabon Birni area.
Blacky noted that they were three at the time of the attack but one of them escaped into the nearby village unhurt.
He said that despite the current peaceful atmosphere in the area, minor attacks were still being recorded in remote communities.
According to him, the marauders had abducted four people along Sabon Birni-Goronyo road four days ago.
However, the spokesman of the Sokoto State Police Command, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, could not be reached at the time of filing this report for confirmation.
