Wizkid, Davido, other Nigerian artistes who have graced London 02 Arena

The London O2 Arena is a well-known venue primarily used for music, concerts, or live performances.

With a capacity of 20,000 people, a lot of Nigerian and international celebrities have used it for their events.

2baba

Legendary singer and songwriter, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba, is one of the Nigerian artists that have graced the London O2 arena.

The African Queen crooner had his Buckwyld and Breathless show at the famous O2 Indigo Arena in 2011. He thrilled his fans with an amazing performance.

D’banj

Another superstar to grace the O2 Arena is Nigerian singer, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj.

He is one of the Nigerian headliners of concerts at the O2 Arena. His first show was sold out in 2009 back when he was with Mo’hits.

The second show was in 2019 where he had artistes like Runtown, Slimcase, Sona, and others perform at the show.

Davido

David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is another Nigerian artist to grace the London O2 arena.

The Fall crooner has had a ‘Sold Out’ show twice. The first show was in 2018 while his second show was on March 5, 2022.

The official Twitter page of the O2 arena confirmed on Friday, the 3rd of March, 2022, via a tweet that the singer recorded a sold-out show.

Davido had the likes of Patoranking, Popcaan, Skiibii, Ckay, Adekunle Gold, Teni, Pheelz, DJ Ecool, Victony, Focalistic, Mayorkun, and many more perform at his 2022 show.

Wizkid

Nigerian superstar, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is the first Nigerian artist to sell out the London O2 arena in May 2018 when he had his Afrorepublik concert.

He also recently had an O2 arena sold-out show in 2021 for his Made in Lagos tour. The first date got sold out in under eight minutes that other dates had to be created for fans who were unhappy about not being able to get a ticket.

The concert had the likes of Rema, Chris Brown, Skepta, Burnaboy, etc perform.

Burnaboy

Another star to grace the London O2 arena is Grammy award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, fondly known as Burnaboy.

He shut down London with his headline concert performance at the O2 Arena during his ‘Space Drift Arena Tour’ in August 2021.

The concert heralded the African Giant crooner kicking off ‘The O2 Welcome Back Show’ series, which also featured artistes like Ruger, Rema, Omah lay, and many more.

Tiwa Savage

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa savage, also graced the London O2 arena in 2018.

The former Mavin first lady emerged as the first Nigerian female artist to headline her first major UK concert at the 3,000 capacity Indigo at the O2 Arena, tagged the ‘The Savage Tour’.

Days before the event, tickets were already sold out.
