The Bureau de Change (BDC) operators who have spent 11 months in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged terrorism have been granted access to their family members.
Daily Trust had reported how their family members lamented the detention without trial of their breadwinners.

On Tuesday, Habiba Ibrahim Ladan, one of the suspects relatives, told our reporter that family members have been trooping into the nation’s capital to meet their loved ones.
She said they were thankful to the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, the federal government and the authorities concerned for heeding their cries and granting them access.
Also speaking, Halima Garo, who was in Abuja but currently back in Kano, said she met her husband.
“They are all alive and in good health; we thank God. Just that they are depressed and have all lost weight, but still, we thank God.”
However, Daily Trust gathered that they will be arraigned on the 23rd and 28th of February, first of March and 8th of April, 2022.
Some aggrieved family members of the 45 Bureau De Change (BDC) operators from Kano had asked the federal government to release their sons, husbands and fathers or take them to the court.
They lamented that the absence of their breadwinners had taken a negative toll on them.
Some of them were traders at the foreign exchange open market in Wapa, Fagge Local Government of Kano State.
Prominent among the BDC operators arrested in the state are: Baba Usaini, Abubakar Yellow (Amfani), Yusuf Ali Yusuf (Babangida), Ibrahim Shani, Auwal Fagge and Muhammad Lawan Sani (a gold dealer).
