An Abuja Industrial Court on Monday ordered the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HoCSF), Folasade Yemi-Esan, to allow some aggrieved directors to participate in the written examination on relevant public service and policy issues and the subsequent processes relating to the permanent secretary selection.
The court also urged the Head of Service to open up the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) portal and print IPPIs online update confirmation slips belonging to the claimants since they had completed and submitted the requisite forms.

The case was adjourned to March 17 for a hearing of the motion on notice.
The aggrieved parties had been reportedly barred from the permanent secretary examination slated for yesterday on the grounds that they were “ghost workers”.
They consequently sought redress in the court.
Counsel to the aggrieved directors, Bemdoo Hassan, told newsmen that his clients were unjustly excluded from the selection processes.
He said stopping his clients from writing the permanent secretary examination and stopping their salaries amounted to punishing them twice for the same “offence.”
When contacted, AbdulGaniyu Aminu, the Director, Communications, Office of the HoCSF, said the appropriate department would respond at the appropriate time.
The OHoCSF had announced the suspension of the salaries of 243 suspected “ghost” workers in the Ministries of Information and Culture, Labour and Employment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Education, Works and Housing, and Youths and Sports.
It had said the affected workers failed to participate in the verification exercise and update their records online on the IPPIS.
