A Point of Sale (POS) operator, Thomas Success, who received ransom money on behalf of kidnappers, was on Monday arraigned before an Ebute Meta magistrates’ court in Lagos State.
Success (30), who was arraigned on a two-count charge of receiving ransom and theft, pleaded not guilty to the offences.

The prosecutor, Insp Jacob Samuel, told the court that the defendant committed the offences in August, 2021, at Ikorodu area of the state.
Insp Samuel further told the court that the defendant transacted N500,000 with his POS knowing same to be proceeds from the kidnap of one Mr Chizoba Samuel (now late).
The magistrate, Mrs O.O. Akingbesote, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to March 10. (NAN)
