The Marathon which debuted in 2019 could not hold in the succeeding year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following the success of the first edition in 2019, more than 400 athletes from across Africa have registered for the event.
The director, ECOWAS centre for youth and sports development, Francis Njoaguani, lamented the suspension and expressed regret over the inconveniences cost the stakeholders, particularly, the international athletes who had registered for the event.
According to him, a new date for the event will be communicated in due course.
