Katsina LG polls: Gov’ship aspirant rains millions on party, contestants

A governorship aspirant under the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina, Ahmed Aminu Yar’adua, has donated N13 million to the party and its contestants across the 34 LGAs of the state.

The donation was presented yesterday at the state party headquarters in Katsina.

Aminu said the cash donation was his contribution to the party and all those vying for the chairman and councillorship seats in the state ahead of the upcoming local government election scheduled for April 11.

In his remarks, the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Salisu Yusuf Majigiri, thanked the donor for his magnanimity and called on other party members to contribute in their different ways to ensure the success of the party in the forthcoming elections.
