Kogi State Government has released N6.3billion to contractors handling some mega projects at the state-owned Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara.
This was disclosed at the weekend by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo.

He said the disbursement was to ensure speedy completion of ongoing projects at the university.
“The heavy outlay is in tandem with the determination of the state government to spend 30 percent of her entire budget on education, especially, the development of Science and Technology as several billions of naira have also gone into the Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital, Anyigba,” he said.
According to him, the fund is to take care of projects in the Faculty of Basic Medical and Health Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, the University Library and the Senate Building.
