An Islamic group, Leen Charity Organisation, has offered free eye treatment to 100 less privileged persons in Kaduna State.
The founder Leen, Abdul’aziz Umar Abubakar, said the group catered for people irrespective of religious affiliation.

He said the organisation realised that most people with eye problems could not afford treatment, noting that those with serious eye conditions like cataract were referred to the National Eye Centre.
Abubakar said, “We aim to make this category of people happy because many cannot afford eye treatment. Leen got assistance and we decided to assist 100 people with the little resources we have.”
Stating that almost 500 people came for assistance but that only 100 could be attended to, Abubakar called on wealthy individuals to support the organisation for the sake of Allah so that more people could be assisted.
He added that the organisation had helped many people in Kaduna, Abuja and Adamawa, especially orphans, during the Eid festival.
