An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday sentenced a 20-year-old unemployed man, Ayomide Kazeem, to two years imprisonment for stealing phones, valued at N19 million.
Magistrate R.A Alejo, pronounced the verdict after the defendant pleaded guilty to the three-count charge of conspiracy, breaking in and stealing.

“You are hereby sentenced to two years in Kirikiri Correctional Centre without an option of fine.
“This would serve as a deterrent to others, who might want to engage in similar acts,” Alejo said.
The Prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Olasunkanmi Adejumola, told the court that the defendant and others still at large committed the offences on Dec. 6, 2021 at 10 p.m. at Computer Village, Ikeja.
