Ahead of the 2023 Presidential election, The Tinubu Network Organisation (TNO) on Monday held a meeting with The Buhari Organisation (TBO) and some members of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Abuja.
The parley was said to have discussed possible collaboration between the two groups for the actualization of the presidential aspiration of a former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The meeting, which was at the instance of the Tinubu group, was attended by the National Coordinator of the TNO, Ganiyu Maroof; Deputy National Coordinator, North, Alhaji Garba Muhammed; Publicity Secretary, Adeniyi Babatunde and the North-East Zonal Youth Leader, Abubakar Ahmed.
The TBO on the other hand, headed by Hajiya Nana Abu-Ali, a former National Coordinator of the organisation led the members of her group to the meeting with the Tinubu group.
The two groups deliberated on how they can pool resources and work together for the success of Tinubu’s ambition.
“The groups expressed their desires to collaborate and ensure the success of Tinubu’s ambition subject to agreement on certain grey areas that are expected to be ironed out in subsequent meetings.
“The CPC elements acknowledged Tinubu’s loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari and agreed in principle to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader to realise his dream of ruling the country. But there are certain caveats that are expected to be resolved in subsequent meetings,” Maroof said.
