The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has swept all the chairmanship and councillorships positions in last Saturday’s councils elections.
Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KESIEC) had recently said 18 political parties indicated interest to participate in the February 5 council polls, but only 17 took part in the election.

The result was declared on Monday in Birnin Kebbi by the Chairman of (KESIEC), Aliyu Muhammad Mera saying, APC won all the 21 chairmanship seats and 225 councillorship positions in the state.
“In view of the compilation of the result which was declared at the ward and local government levels, I wish to announce that All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the 21 chairmanship and all the 225 councillorship positions,” he said.
