Jonathan’s cousin regains freedom

Mr Jephthah Robert Yekorogha, the abducted cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has regained freedom after spending 14 days in captivity. 
Yekorogha was abducted by some heavily armed gunmen on January 24 at his residence in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.
He was taken to an unknown destination and for over two weeks there was no communication between his family members and the kidnappers.
The family of Mr Yekorogha had appealed to the kidnappers to release their brother unconditionally, without harm for peace in Bayelsa State.
Mr Austin Ekeinde, Media Aide to the Chief executive officer of Zeetin Engineering, Mr Azibola Robert, who is the younger brother of the victim, confirmed his release on Monday.
He did not disclose whether any ransom was paid before his release.
He said: “We give all the thanks to God for the safe return of our brother, Jephthah Robert Yekorogha, from the kidnappers’ den.”
Also, the police spokesman in Bayelsa State, SP Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the release, said the details are still sketchy.
