Senator Francis Alimikhena has said there is no rift between him and the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, over 2023 general election.
Alimikhena, representing Edo North Senatorial district in a statement he personally signed, and made available to journalists in Benin, said there is no running battle or misunderstanding between him and Oshiomhole.
“Those attempting to set us apart through unguarded utterances and blackmailing will definitely fail, because the party’s victory is more important to us. It is only a united party that can win an election”.
He called on rumour mongers and blackmailers to tread cautiously and exercise restraint in their utterances in order not to heat up the polity.
“Unlike some who twist the concept of democracy to suit themselves, I have committed myself to doing the best for Edo North people. While I will continue to pursue the larger interest of our people” he said.
