Benue Gov’t signs N149.3m contract for new transmitter

The Benue State Government has signed a contract worth N149.3 million with Knicks Engineering Limited for the procurement of a 20-Kilowatt FM transmitter for Radio Benue, Makurdi. 

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr Beatrice Nguemo Tsavmbu, while signing the contract agreement on behalf of the ministry, said the installation of a new transmitter for the station will help it reach a wider audience. 

Director-General of Radio Benue, Dr Charles Iornumbe, noted that it had been the desire of Governor Samuel Ortom to procure and install a new transmitter for Radio Benue which he stated will reposition the station for better performance.
