The Chief of International Relations Department, Ukrainian Lviv University for Business and Law, Olga Krasnopera, has said Nigeria and Ukraine will benefit from bilateral education relationships in many ways.
She said: “I think we will benefit much because we learn from each other. We cooperate; we develop education, which is the best thing you know in the world because education is light, which we have to lead in society.”
Krasnopera who stated this in Abuja during the maiden lecture/award organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, said developing relationships between different countries is very useful nowadays.
“Because the world is small, we have to communicate a lot. People travel a lot. They need a lot of knowledge. That’s why we have to work hard altogether,” she said.
She further said: “Every country should invest more in education now, not only Nigeria, because you see how we grow fastly, our economy, internet, everything is developing fast. So that’s why investment is necessary all around the globe, not just in Nigeria, in the US, in Ukraine, in Kenya and everywhere.”
While advising Nigerians seeking quality education abroad to visit Ukraine, she said “Our universities have well-trained staff, good facilities, so we can provide education of higher quality for a lower price. So we invite everyone who is looking for a good opportunity to come to Ukraine and get education in different fields.”
Speaking, the Chairman of FTAISA, Skills and Entrepreneurship Development Centre and the varsity country representative in Nigeria, Dr Cliff Ogbede, said Ukraine has offered affordable university admission to Nigerian students with 12,000 presently studying in the country.
He said in their quest to offer affordable, sustainable and quality education for the Nigerian students and workers, which include tertiary education, vocational skills training and entrepreneurship development programmes to ensure rapid economic growth, their organization developed a working relationship with the Lviv University of Business and Law, Ukraine, under an existing collaboration with their common partner institution, the V.N Karazin Kharkiv National University.
