I knew about Rihanna’s pregnancy since last year, says Seyi Shay

Yesterday, superstar Barbadian singer, Robyn Rihanna Fenty popularly known as Rihanna, got the internet in a frenzy mode as she revealed that she was expecting her first child with her lover, ASAP Rocky.

The news of her pregnancy was revealed as the couple was photographed while taking a walk on the streets of Harlem, New York City.

The singer was spotted in a bright pink jacket which she wore while exposing her growing baby bump. The couple started dating officially in 2020.

Shortly after the news made rounds, friends and fans of the entertainers took to social media to congratulate the lovers. One of those who congratulated the expectant parents is the popular Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay.

Taking to Twitter, Seyi Shay, while congratulating Rihanna claimed that she knew the multiple award-winning singer was expecting her child since last year.

She wrote via her verified Twitter page, “Big Congratulations to @rihanna this is the best news I’ve heard this year (but knew since last year).”

Seyi Shay’s claim comes about a month after she sparked pregnancy rumours via a TikTok video she released on the platform which she also shared on her Instagram stories.

In the video, the singer who donned an off-white sweatshirt and a pair of black three-quarter tights was seen dancing and in the process, seemed to flaunt what appeared to be a bulging baby bump.

Moreso in a recent interview, the songwriter revealed that she is engaged and set to get married.
